Date ~ednesdav,Sept,9 '85' Rosebowl SX Highlights LA Superbowl of MX By Jim and Carolyn Simpson BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY, SEPT. 26 Tropical storm Danielle could not slow Bud Fee ill his quest for another Super Senior class title at Bridgehampton MX. Fee started moto one with the lead going into the woods and kept a pace that gave him a comfortable lead at the end of lap one, while Gary DiPietro and Dennis DeGraff fought for second place honors. DiPietro eventually pulled away to cruise in second, while Art Anderson challenged DeGraff for third. Fee took the race win honors, but the action was the dogfight for second place. On the last lap, DiPietro narrowly held off a charging Anderson for runner-up honors. Fee and DeGraff started moto two with a duel for the lead, but Fee jumped out of the woods all alone. Anderson chased the leader only to wash out in a sweeper under a steady stream of rain. With all of Danielle's fury coming down on the riders, Fee motored through to another win and a step closer to the Long Island Sports Committee Super Senior class championship. Hard core racing was the order of the day for the 250 and 125cc Amateur riders. In 250cc Amateur ranks, Robert Federico, Robert Walton, Eddie Hololob, and Donald Murphy all fought to gain the lead in moto one. Federico jumped out of the woods first, while Hololob anrlMurphy chased the leader. Murphy passed Hololob, and the pair picked up the pace to close in on the leader Federico. Federico wicked it up to save his lead, while Hololob regained second when Murphy dumped it in a tum. Federico held on for the win, while Hololob grabbed second-place honors. . Moto two saw Murphy grab the lead with Walton and Danny Pazienza chasing. Pazienza moved up to take second only to hand it over to Hololob when Pazienza fell in the mud. Hololob then went down in the back and Federico took over in second. As the last lap wound down, leader Murphy bailed with a bi~ splash and Federico took another moto . nSOn with a sleeve from Want Ad iDIo~tiOD • (310) 417'7433 $$ CASH PAID $$ USED STREET BIKES BERT'S MOTORCYCLES 818-334-1288/818-334-2926 DON'T TRASH THAT WORN CHROME PLATED CYLINDER L.A.
