z i Vic oryS On top dovvn under. Leaving the Aussies in awe, Suzuki team riders Rodney Smith, Randy Hawkins, and Steve Hatch each took a gold medal at the International Six Days Enduro in' Australia. Facing stiff, international competition, Smith also took home another honor. He placed 4th overall, the highest ranking ever for an American. All three riders were on Suzuki's RMX250. Coincidence? We don't think so. If our mates down under want to come out on top, they better figure out which end is up. Hov#kins + RMX2S0= #1 x3. Just about anyone can see this is an equation for success. So perhaps it's no surprise that once again, three time national champion Randy Hawkins has won three of five AMA National Championship Enduro Series Races so far this year. In foct, Team Suzuki has won ,four of the five AMA National Enduro events this season as Steve Hatch placed 1st overall at the Cherry Pit AMA National Championship Enduro. Further proof of the RMX250's off-road dominance is Darren Sanford and his victories South of the Border. He won 1st in his class and 3rd overall at the 1992 Baja 500 and 1st in his class and 4th overall at the 1991 Baja 1000. At this rate you don't have to be a mathematical genius to figure it out. The RMX250 is a valuable addition to any rider. And nov#, 0 v#ord from the 4-strokes. In a stunning series of victories, the Suzuki DR350 struck a blow for the 4-strokes when Jan Hrehor won 1st in the 350 class at four AMA National Reliability Enduros in Oklahoma, Ohio, Idaho and Oregon. Of course, the DR350 uses the very latest in suspension technology with a 43mm fork along with a rear suspension system that uses a single gas-eharged, remote-reservoir shock. And unlike other four-strokes that suffer from excess weight, the DR350 delivers a wide, manageable powerband in a nimble, lightweight package. If Hrehor's recent victories are any kind of sign, this won't be the last we hear from the four-strokes. At Suzuki we want every ride to be .afe and enjoyable.
