Ezerins doubles at Aztalan MX

Mike Carr (3) grabbed the holeshot in the PIUs-30 Beginner class at Starwest SX Park, then pulled away for the overall win.
Neil Keen won every,class he entered
at the AHRMA National in Sturgis.

Triumphs. Keen closed the margin and
muscled his way by the leading BSA for yet
another win, while Lehfeldt held of[ a late
charge by Feldhaus to secure the runner-up
spot.

Keen is king at Sturgis ST

On the historic Sturgis Half-Mile oval, Neil
Keen won the 251-600cc Modern Vintage class
at the AHRMA Vintage National that was
held in conjunction with the famous Sturgis
Rally,
Fresh from a win in the AMR Vintage
National.race that was held on the same track
just two days earlier, Keen rode his brakeless
500cc "BSA Gold Star to the win against
machines that were both larger and had the
advantage of brakes. The veteran was
undaunted, and held 0(£ Randy Feldhaus and
Norm Lehfeldt to the finish.
The 750<:c main saw a fast-starting Lehfeldt

Pat Foster won the Silver State Shootout
against 15 competitors at Silver State
Raceway.
After the single-file start, Foster gained a
position every lap and held off the pack for
the win in the unusual event that combines
riders of varying skill levels. Pro-class rider
Brian Elder started out dead last, working his
way up to seventh by lap four. His progress
came to a halt when he crashed in a turn,
however. While Junior-class competitor
Foster led to the finish, Dan Cordle Jr. nabbed
Second place. For his winning effoTt, Foster
was awarded a large trophy and a gift
certificate from Arai helmets.
Tammi Williamson led the large Women's
class off the line in their first moto. Williamson was a notch above her competitors, as
she extended her lead and never looked back.
J ill Morgan passed her way up LO second place,
but was not able to challenge Williamson's
flawless ride.
In moLO two, Williamson again LOok her
KTM to the first turn ahead of Branham, Jill
Morgan, Ton.i G,ivanti and Jan Morgan. Jill
Morgan LOok over second position by passing
Branham on the second lap, but Branham
stayed close and pressured her for several laps.
The battle over second place continued to
heat up, and on the last lap, Morgan and
Branham both went down in the back section
of the track. Givanti too~ advantage and
quickly slipped into second position. Morgan
and Branham quickly remounted, but not in
time, as Givanti followed Williamson home
in second place. Givanti earned the overall
win, while Branham's 2-3 moLO scores were
good for second overall.
