FEEL THE DIFFERENCE 4520 107th Street sw. Mukilteo. WA 98275 (206)348-4000 By Gwenn Harris LONDON. KY. JUNE 21 It was another action-packed day at the Daniel Boone Motocross Park with Mike Howard adding two big wins to his already impressive record this season. In the first 250cc B class moto Howard took the holeshot and kept a substantial lead throughout the race. The second moto started with the advanta~e going to Tim Polston but Howard passed hIm in the first lap and stayed in front until the finish for the overall win. Howard also racked up a win in the Unlimited Amateur class_ When asked how he liked the track at the new motocross park, Howard replied, "It is as good a track as any in the country. It is safe but also tough and challenging." . Other action at the park included a fatherand-son relay.race for Father's Day, which was won by the team of Jason and Roger Bault of Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition, a wedding ceremony was performed dunng the halftime intermission. The happy couple, Eric Reed and Melissa Pruitt, took a turn around the track on a quad after the wedding. Reed also rode to fourth place in the Unlimited Amateur class and second place in the Open Amateur category. The 80cc Junior class provided an exciting race as Chris Hedrick took the holeshot in the first moto. The battle was on as Brian Hodges moved up five places in the first lap to fourth place. In the second lap. Hodges moved up to third and by the fourth lal? he had reached second place, where he remamed until the end of the first moto. . In the second moto Hedrick was injured coming out of the starting gate and Hodge was able to lead the moto and claim the overall win for the day. WHEN WINNING IS THE NAME OF THE GAME...
