ust when things started to become almost
stagnant in the 2022 Monster Energy AMA
Supercross series, round 13 in St. Louis,
Missouri, threw us a bit of a curveball. No doubt
this season has provided some serious bar-to-bar
battles, but the past few races have been a bit of
the Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence (in the 250SX
East division) show. Either way, it was a breath
of fresh air to see some new faces on top of the
podium, with Marvin Musquin and RJ Hampshire
taking their respective Triple Crown overall
wins. It was Musquin's first win of the year and
Hampshire's first career victory.
The 450SX points leader, Eli Tomac, saw his
five-race win streak come to an end, but he did finish
off the St. Louis Triple Crown round with a race win
for third overall and pad his lead in the 450SX Cham-
pionship another two points: It's now up to 56 over
Jason Anderson, who was fourth overall on the night.
Lawrence's three-race win streak also came
to an end, but the Aussie still enjoys an even
larger and comfortable 34-point lead in the
250SX East Championship.
