"I felt good all day," said Malcolm Stewart
who is locked in a close ba le for second
in the championship with Anderson and
Barcia. Just six points separate the three. "I
didn't get the best start in the main event,
and I was si ng in fourth and Marvin was
right there for third, so the last lap I tried
to make a li le pass and one of the lapped
riders ended up going inside and kind of
screwed me up, and I went down. Overall,
I felt good, I just wasn't fast enough to get
on the podium tonight."

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Jalek Swoll
says he needs to work on his starts if he
wants to get back on the podium. "It
was a tough one, I feel like it could have
been a be er night if I had a be er start,"
he said. "I got into the back of the pack,
somewhere around last, and could only
make it up to eighth. It's frustra ng, so I'm
going to go back to the prac ce track, put
in some work on my starts and come back
a er the break and be be er."
Jason Anderson (21), second in the
championship, ran second for most
of the race but couldn't catch the
one guy—Tomac—he really needed to
finish in front of.
Another win for Tomac just
seemed like another notch in the
belt as he extended his cham-
pionship points lead to 54 over
Jason Anderson, second on the
night.
This is a big rebound for the
number-21 after two weeks off
the podium. Anderson still held
second in the championship
coming into Seattle, but a DNF in
Detroit and a sixth in Indianapo-
lis allowed Tomac to put some
