2021 AMA Racing, Organizer
Awards Announced
T
he AMA announced the win-
ners of its 2021 AMA Racing
and Organizer Awards, which are
presented to individuals and organi-
zations that stood out in AMA-sanc-
tioned competition and recreational
endeavors during 2021.
AMA members helped select
the winners of certain racing
categories, including the AMA
Athlete of the Year and the AMA
Racer of the Year awards, while
AMA staff chose the organiza-
tional awards.
The AMA Athlete of the Year
awards went to Steward Baylor
(National Championship Series),
Levi Kitchen (Grand Champion-
ships) and Walker Fowler (ATV).
The AMA Veteran/Senior
Racer of the Year was Broc
Peterson, while the AMA Youth
Racer of the Year award was
given to Cole Forbes, the AMA
National Enduro Futures cham-
pion and GNCC Super Mini
champion. Becca Sheets was
recognized as the AMA Female
Racer of the Year for her stellar
performance in the AMA Grand
National Cross-Country series.
MotoAmerica (Track Racing
Organizer of the Year), Mid East
Hare Scramble (ATV Orga-
nizer of the Year), and Gnarly
Routes (Recreational Off-Road
Organizer of the Year) were all
recognized for their efforts in
2021. Hi-Winders (AMA Club of
the Year), Pasadena Motorcycle
Club (Recreational Road Orga-
nizer of the Year), Florida Trail
Riders (Off-Road Racing Orga-
nizer of the Year) and East Fork
MX (Motocross Organizer of the
Year) were among the additional
groups presented with awards.
For their efforts to raise funds
and assistance for the flood
victims of Waverly, Tennessee,
Racers 4 Waverly were awarded
with the AMA Sportsman of the
Year. For their outstanding media
coverage, the AMA presented
Roadracing World and Motor-
cycle Technology with the AMA
Media Award.
