Ramsey Takes Over
T
he Rockstar Energy Husqvar-
na Team had a new look at
the Anaheim 2 Supercross with
former racer Nathan Ramsey
taking over as the team's new
manager.
The team's former manager,
Stephen Westfall, announced
earlier that he is stepping down
from his position as team leader
but will be helping with the transi-
tion until the Supercross Champi-
onship heads east after Anaheim
3 in a few weeks.
Ramsey is a multi-time race-
winner in the 125cc and 250cc
divisions during his 16-year
career in professional racing.
The 47-year-old oversaw the
JDR/J Star Supercross team
for four years before taking on a
management role with amateur
motocross program, where he
has become a driving force in
developing the next generation
of supercross/motocross talent
over the last eight years.
"I am super excited to be work-
ing with the Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna Factory Racing Team
and this great leadership crew
with Sean [Murphy] and Tony
[Hall]," Ramsey said. "I have all
the confidence in this race team
and I look forward to many great
years ahead."
Other changes within the team
have taken place. Tony Hall has
been named the team's new
crew chief. Previously, he held
the same title but with Husqvar-
na's off-road team.
Sean Murphy will continue his
role as team coordinator for U.S.
Supercross and motocross.
