HAMMAKER OUT, SWOLL IN After two podiums to kick off the 2022 season, Seth Hammaker did not line up for Saturday night's race. A midweek practice crash left him with a grade-three spleen laceration and two compression fractures in his back. Jalek Swoll, on the other hand, crashed out of A1 and sat out round two in Oakland. The Husqvar- na rider returned to action in San Diego and finished solidly in seventh. SAVATGY OUT FOR THE SEASON Joey Savatgy openly spoke about a torn ACL he suffered before Oakland. He lined up again in San Diego but another crash on the start reaggravated the already-injured knee and retired him from the night. The Rocky Mountain KTM rider an- nounced via Instagram that this crash was "the final straw" and that he has decided to get his knee fixed. Briefly...
