ROUND 3 / JANUARY 22, 2022 PETCO PARK / SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA P62 SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES MYOWNRACE 1 COOPER WEBB 4TH 450SX Defending champ Cooper Webb logged another quiet night in San Diego. He started up front in the main but just missed the podium by one spot. "We fought hard in that main event, giving it everything we had. We're only one point out so I can't complain about that, but we'll get to work this week. I wasn't feel- ing great last week, and I didn't perform very well. We've got some work to do on the motorcycle and myself." 27 MALCOM STEWART 5TH 450SX Malcolm Stewart showed more con- sistency this weekend. The Rockstar Husqvarna rider a acked the treacherous whoop sec on every lap to finish just inside the top 10. "The night was great! Another P5 and moving in the right direc- on," Stewart said. "We had a nice li le ba le going—I think it was Ferrandis, Cooper and myself. The box is right there—a li le bit be er of a start and we would've been in there but we're mov- ing in the right direc on, and I'm really stoked on the way I've been riding." Jason Anderson was on the move and had Sexton in his sights when this started happening. A radiator issue forced the Oakland winner to back it down. Michael Mosiman (29) avoided the drama behind him when things got a little too tight going into the first turn of the 250SX West main. Points leader Christian Craig (28) and Jo Shimoda (30) were some of the casualties.
