COLIN EDWARDS' TEXAS TORNADO BOOT CAMP
w friends.
Me and my ne
all the time. I figured he might just
have his name on the place and
show up every once in awhile,
but that's not the case. He rides
around on an ATV, talks to everyone like they're his best friend
and even does manual labor. I
saw him moving haybales and
cones and stuff. And you should
see him on a bike. Wowza. Dude
is fast and he's fun to ride with.
He even hangs out at night and
tells cool stories that dad would
like to hear.
Oh, yeah, they have beer here
but don't worry… once you have
one, they make sure you don't
ride your motorcycle anymore.
I'd like to tell you that I haven't
had any, but that would be a bigold fib. I needed to see if Coors
Light in Texas was different than
Coors Light in California. Seems
pretty much the same, but I'll try
a few more tonight just to make
sure.
Turns out you never know who
is going to be at these camps.
I'm pretty stoked because Bradley Smith and James Rispoli are
here. You guys know who Smith
is from watching MotoGP and
Rispoli is an AMA guy. They are
both nice even though Smith is
what you and dad would call a
Pommie.
Speaking of Smith and Rispoli, I was faced with one of camp's
many lessons today: Confliction. I had Bradley to my outside and Rispoli trying to stuff
his way through on the inside as
we battled on the school's Yamaha TTR125s. Since Smith was
scheduled to race in the Grand
Prix of The Americas in a few
days and Rispoli didn't have an
AMA race for a few more weeks,
I pretty much decided that if push
came to shove, I'd go ahead and
knock Rispoli down first. That's
if my buddy Joe didn't take both
of them down first. I had that GoPro on that you guys got me for
Christmas and I'll show it to you
when I get home. Sorry to tell
you that those guys are a little bit
