Stoner's Déjà Vu
•Repsol Honda's Casey Stoner's victory was
nearly a carbon-copy of the 2011 race as he storms
to victory for his third win at Laguna Seca and his
second in a row. This time he used an inside pass
over the crest of turn one on Jorge Lorenzo.
•Nicky Hayden rode hard on the Ducati to catch
and pass Stefan Bradl for sixth place.
•Ben Spies was riding to what looked like fourth
place when his Yamaha's swingarm failed him and
caused a big crash on the exit of the Corkscrew.
•The Attack Performance team failed to qualify for
the race as a wild-card CRT entrant with Steve
Rapp at the controls.

Valentino Rossi a lift back to the pits after Rossi

season announced

podium while Dani
