Suzuki rider Stacy Thorton, also known for his "aggressive tactics" gave Anderson a run for his money in the 125cc Pro class. Thorton took second for the day, Wally Levy (Suz) third, and Mark White (Fed. Way Suz) fourth. Another disappointment for the locals came when a Seattle television station interviewed Anderson, who is f.rom Vancouver, rather than one of them: . Maico rider Eric Eaton, in his first "appearance at S.I.R. since he broke his leg here last March, took second in the 250cc Pro battle. Disappoint-, ments were still in store for Cory Klaudt. He finished third in moto one but his Yamaha broke on the last lap of moto two putting him out out of the money. Highland Honda's Dave Froembling impressed the crowd with a last lap charge, picking off two riders to take third place honors. Series winner Tom Moen (Seattle Hon) took fourth .for the day. 1n Open Pro action it was Jon Jacobson on a CMCosponsored Honda that took the holeshot in both motos. W~th nine riders, this was the largest thIS class has been for the series. Eric Eaton debuted a new 490cc Maico that gave him problems in moto one. Highland Honda-sponsored Bob Buffaloe took moLO one money. In moto two Eric had the bike problems ironed out, he took the lead on lap one and never looked back. This time it was Buffaloe with the bike problems, his Honda fouled a plug on the line. Bob came off the gate a half lap down, but worked up t,o second before the checkered flew. Speqators lined the track for the 125cc A class. This was a Suzuki duel for a series win between Steve Oster and Jeff Chapman. Thesetwoputona show that kept us on our feet. The series win went to Chapman with Oster taking second. The overall winner.for the weekend was Lonn Inmann (Kaw). - Results .. J8 PEE WEE A: 1. Rod Stanley (Yam); 2. CaseyJones (Yam). PEE WEE B: 1.
