' Chandler later said that the biggest obstacle he faced during the weekend was learning to trust the tires on the pavement: "I didn't have any faith in the tires. I'm so used to riding on knobbies and sliding straight up. and not leaning over. I started using the track and seemed to be able to catch the guys who were in front of me. I felt pretty good as far as being in shape. It was a fun race."
