The Nov. 28 round will also be the first round of the AMA District 36 Winter Series. Last week we printed the address of the new Sinisalo USA importers of MX gear, but as we went to press they didn't have a phone number. They do now - two, in fact: 714/768-0661 or 714/768-4188. California Racing Club enduros will feature a four-stroke clas. in 1983, according to layout honcho Larry Langley. Also under consideration for 1983 is a one-Iooponly Beginner class to help new riders adjust to the enduro scene. "Bob Hannah signed this morning," said Honda MX team manager Dave Arnold when we talked to him on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Contrary to earlier rumors, however, Hannah will not race in Europe, but will be based in the U.S. and what he will ride depends on future developments in the MX controversy. While we were talking to Arnold, he did ask us to relay one message: "Please tell everyone that Team Honda will be at San Diego for the Supercross Finals, we have every intention of participating fully in that race." Gregg Toyama, a former southern California Pro motocrosser who mov- ed to Australia a few years ago, and his Australian wife Julie are the proud parents of a baby boy, Michael, born Sept. 27. Gregg is now promoting stadium minicycle races Down Under, and when his younger brother Mark came down from the States to visit, Mark came up a winner in those races. Our hearty thanks to Bob Gray and the folks at Pasadena Honda, after they responded to our request for product donations for the B-to-V poker run drawings. Because of his contractual obligations, they have chosen a Suzuki RM465 a the basis for the bike. The bike will begin life as an '82 and, because of the new production motor ruling, the bike will utilize the stock four-speed transmission. Other rumors suggest that he will be known as the "Jadestone Cowboy" next year. Watch Papa for more. Scott Burnworth has signed with Suzuki for '83 already. Phil Larson may go with Maico if Honda doesn't have the right deal for him. The Hi-Point was on the other foot, so to speak, at the Trans-Cal series. Darrell Shultz frequently showed up to watch mechanic Chris Haines dice it out with the Veteran Intermediate class.
