In Open Pro mota two , Larson again took the win. Paulson DNF giving second overall to Russell Staples (Suz). The 250cc Pro contest was an upset. Larson was the favorite and worked himself up from a fifth place start to first, then took a nasty spill that rattled his brains for a few minutes. While he was down, second place rider Cory Klaud t took the lead with R ob Burkhart (H an), and Logan Edrington (Kaw) battling for second; Bo b Buffal oe (Highland Han) came arou nd in fou r th and m oved up to th ird. Larson was wa y back there. " ... ~ J J. .. , J>.. . -". .. .. , _ . . _ The finish saw Klaudt win it with Buffaloe hot on his trail and Larson gaining on all of them. Edrington made an excellent showing, hanging onto fourth place despite the pressure put on by fifth place finisher David Henden (Yam). In the second 250cc P ro mota, Larson grabbed the lead and kept it much the same as he did in the Open Pro race. Buffaloe and Klaudt were looking good. Buffaloe fought his way up to second, but DNF due to electrical problems. Klaudt, in spite of flying off the top of a berm after making the triples, shrugged off his mechanic's help and took off to a second place finish that earned him first place for the day .
