Our issue #49 featured our coverage of the Florida Winter Olympics,
aka Mini O's, 30 years ago. Some of the stars of the week were Donald
Upton, Scott Sheak and Kevin Windham... In our In The Wind section,
we asked the question: "KTM Bankrupt?" This came after learning the bank
had taken over control of KTM Austria's assets in the sport motorcycle
division... Jeff Stanton won the
Tokyo Supercross over Jeff Ward,
Larry Ward and Mike Kiedrowski...

Vegas dual-sport ride.

Our 2002 big-bore four-stroke motocross shootout was featured 20
years ago. The CN staff traveled to Larry Wosick's Honey Lake MX Park
north of Reno, Nevada, to compare seven of the most exotic production
motocross bikes in the world, including the Cannondale X440S,
Vertemati C500, Vor 530MX and Husaberg FC550. The winner? The
Honda CRF450R... We had coverage of the fourth running of A Day In
The Dirt, which was held at L.A. County Raceway. We also followed
along on the annual B-to-V dual-sport ride.
