II Richard Re ese, .of the 125cc Juni or class, h ad to wa i t for a long time while a transmission part for his Kawasaki 125cc was on 'the slo w boat from Japan. Reese fina ll y got his bike together and h e ca me out to th e Con ti n ental Mo tospo rt Club motocr oss at Asco t and ran away wi th th e 125cc Jun io r di visio n one co n test. Reese is th e g u y who used to wear a [urn p su it, but now he is loo king sharp wi th a new pair o f silks. H e orn ina ted th e Junior class in th e same manner as before and nobod y co u ld to uc h hi m . Reese won the first rno to ahead of J o n Barrick a nd Bo b Wo lleso n. In th e final round, Reese was o ut fro nt again with Alex Posca and Barr ick ba tt lin g it out for second. Pos ca took a sixth pl ace finis h in the first rnoto a nd impro ved h is ta ll y grea tly as he ended up with the seco nd place fin ish . O verall o n th e trop hy list it wa s Reese, Barrick and Pos ca . There were two d ivisions of th e 125ciJ u n io r class. In th e seco nd di vision, Darryl Roberso n took his Kawasaki into the lead d uring firs t rno to action . Dennis Chafe wa s in seco nd being followed by John Bus h and Ma tt Wallace. With little ti m e rema in ing in the ra ce, Chafe stalled h is Yama ha on the co rner.before the fin ish and the positio ns changed. Chafe dro p ped back into four th because of th a t mistake while Bush was third and Wallace second. Joh n Bush took th e holeshot in th e fina l moto, but it o n ly lasted o ne la p as he dropped ba ck to six th .
