The 60cc Pee Wee class was dominated by no-nonsense rider .Todd O 'Rear on a Yam aha, winning first in both motes. Second p lace rider John Culwell (Suz) h ung tight behind O 'Rear in the fir st rn o to but was unable to pass before O 'Rear made it to the checkered. O'Rear had clear sailing all the way to the checkered flag with Culwell coming in second, Valles third. The 125cc Int erm edia te class had Furrh leave no doubt about who deserved the first p lace trophy. It wasn't an easy task with Dan Hannah (Suz ) and J ohn Fram p ton (Suz) wanting the same tro phy. Furrh and Hannah p layed leap frog from the first rnoto, with Fra mp ton hoping for a mistake fro m one or both. The mistake didn 't come. Fu rr h came in first, Hannah second , Framp ton third. The second m o to Fu rrh was still th e one to beat. H e held tight the first place position un til the checkered flag. Positions changed for second and third place riders.
