four-stroke Yamaha into th e second
spot. Mosley stayed in there for th ird
place.
Mosley took the lead in th e second
moto, but no watdid he go down th is
time. H e just rode his smoothest,
right to the checkered flag. Dan San chez passed severa l slower riders to
take second. Coming in third was
Ra y Sanchez.
Expert Ron Cla wson rod e a fau ltless race as he took first in moto one
and moto two . Buzz Moeller was
second across the finish line, and
Chuck Na tions took thi rd.
Chuck moved up to th e second
spot in rno to two , and Ca l Browning
put his new Maico into thi rd.
Larry Sm ith of the Amateur division had the lead for one lap wh en
Dale Calhoo n blasted into the lead
and held the sam e to win the m o to ,
Gordon Mathiew finished in second,
and Larry Smith held on for th ird.
Mat hieu grabbed the ho leshot in
moto two , led for one lap and then
along came Calhoon, who slipped
his Honda past Gordon an d ha d th e
lead for six laps until he went down .
Larry Sm i th then took the lead to the
finish. Mathieu held in there for
second, and Don H obson took third.
In moto one, Marvin Kn ight of th e
Novices led for one lap, then George
McCa ul ey took com mand to win the
moto. J o h n Leisner passed several
ot her riders to fin ish second. Dick
Doyle too k third.
Pete Klassen finished in fourth ,
but in moto two he really go t h ot and
dominated the track to win the mo to,
McCauley took second, Barry Ha mmond came in third; and Dick Doyle
put h is Maico into fourth place.
