Wayn~ Rainey has won races before. He's been to the winner's circle more than a few times. So, what's the big deal? Another victory? No, there was something special about Wayne's last win. A first for Wayne .' An AMA Superbike Series victory. In his first season as a pro Superbike rider, Wayne has finished fifth at Daytona and third at Talladega, Riverside and Elkhart Lake. Then, on June 19 at Loudon, New Hampshire, Wayne captured his first Superbike checkered flag! A pretty _ impressive record for only five races. With Wayne's victory and teammate Eddie Lawson's three wins, Kawasaki has won four of the five 1982 Superbike events and leads the point standings in hoth Formula1 and Superbike. So, everyone here at Kawasaki thinks .Wayne Rainey's first AMA Superbike victory is really terrific. And we're sure it won't be the last. 3
