4.9 seconds up on his teammate Espargaro,
giving the Repsol Honda team their first one-
two since the 2017 Aragon GP.
The result was significant not just for the
team but for Marquez, who took his first win at
a clockwise (predominately right-hander) venue
since suffering near career-ending arm and
shoulder injuries at the 2020 Spanish MotoGP.
Red Bull KTM's Miguel Oliveira was in
contention for his first podium since winning
at Catalunya before the mid-season break but
crashed out of third with five laps to go at turn
14, handing the position to Espargaro.
That promoted Zarco to fifth ahead of Rins,

2ND MOTOGP
"An incredible race and result, beyond just
myself I am so happy and pleased for the
team, Espargaro said. "They've worked so
hard this year, and especially the Japanese
staff in our team have lived a hard year
away from home, so this result is for them.
It's a team result and shows the work and
progress that we have made and are mak-
ing. I was quite tense during the race, to
make sure we could achieve this result for
the team but on the final laps, everything
happened, Pecco crashed, Miguel crashed,
I had a track-limits warning on the bike.
Today is a day to enjoy as a team, as a
group."

2ND MOTO3
"The first emo on? Honestly, I'm not
super-happy, I felt I lost in the last two
laps," Masia said. "I was trying to fight on
the last lap but Foggia was amazing today,
incredibly fast. I'm happy on one hand be-
cause we weren't sure about the bike as
this was the first session in the dry. So, I'm
pleased and we were strong. I feel ready
to fight in the last two races."
