Briefly... TwoTwo Motorsports Honda's Chad Reed seems to be heading in the right direction after dealing with his long-hanging illness. He had his best finish of the year in the first moto when he took the checkered flag in seventh place, beating his previous best finish by three spots (moto one at Hangtown). Unfortunately for him, he was unable to back that up after going down on the first lap, dropping to the back of the pack. He charged to 18th place. His 7-18 gave him 12th overall for the day. Adam Cianciarulo is making quick progress in the pro ranks after missing the first four rounds of the series with an illness. In Southwick, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider went 9-12 for ninth overall. "I got a decent start in the first moto, like sixth or seventh, and I felt pretty solid for about 20 minutes, I was hanging in there and I was up to fifth at one point," said Cianciarulo. "I just got kind of tired after the 20-minute mark and just still kind of feel sick from my sickness and coming back. I ended up fading back a bit, I probably could have found some better lines to limit the damage, but I ended up ninth, which is my best moto finish so far. I was okay, but there are some things I need to work on for sure. In the second moto I did kind of the same thing, except I was a little bit farther back after the start, maybe about 15th. I came up to eighth at one point and then got tired and faded back to 12th. But I'm still a little weak from my sickness and I'm continued on next page
