Whale Extends Red Bull KTM Contract
K
TM North America and AFT Singles Championship contender Max
Whale have signed a two-year contract that will see Whale remaining
with the team through the 2023 AFT Championship.
"I am so pumped to sign a two-year extension with the Red Bull KTM
Factory Racing Team," said Whale. "I've been having an awesome time
this year with my team, racking up victories and points! I'm excited for the
next two years of my career with the crew."
"I'm really looking forward to having Max with us for the next two seasons
and to continue with the progress we've seen in just his first year with the
team," Chris Fillmore, Red Bull KTM Team Manager, said. "Max is a racer
by nature—he is self-determined, has a never-give-up attitude and is truly
passionate about the KTM brand and motorcycling. This year was an ad-
justment year for Max with a new bike, team, sponsors and responsibilities,
so with that nearly behind us, we can narrow our focus."

Kardana Wins Hard Knox East Hare Scrambles
K
TM rider Nick Kordana was the overall winner
at the NETRA's Knox Trail Riders' Hard Knox
Hare Scrambles, which was also round seven of
the AMA East Hare Scrambles Championship, in
Granville, Massachusetts, September 19.
Kardana got off to a fast start, opening up a
commanding lead that would take him all the way
to the finish line. Kardana was fast and consis-
tent over the challenging technical racecourse.
While many of his rivals struggled, Kardana was
the steadiest throughout, taking the checkered
flag comfortably ahead of the next-best rider,
Jeremy Anthony (KTM).
Anthony bounced around between third and
fourth most of the time before settling in the
second-place position on the last lap.
Payton Preve finished just 10 seconds back in third.
Bryden Nolette (the top A 250cc rider) and Jona-
than McDougal made it an all-KTM top five.
The top B rider was Veteran-class racer Justin
Baer aboard another KTM.
Taylor Johnston (KTM) topped the Women's
class.
