Motorsport has entries fro m some of th e mo st p rominent motocr oss rid ers in th e West. " Mo to rsp o rt " now h as a three y ear un conditional exclusive lease on Bay Mar e an d loo k forwa rd to t his ra ce as a step in growing in the mon ths to com e. The tra ck will cons ist main ly of the original Bay Ma re co urse. The fabulous "Senior Downhill" which knows no parallel in Southern California will definitely be included as will our "New IIill". The "New Hill" was built several weeks ago and alre ad y has gained fame for be ing fun and challenging. Expe rt ride rs frequentl y cle ar thirty to fifty feet when cres ting th is New Hill. Finally, as an add ition al ch allenge, Mo rorsp o rt is including a unique new section th at devia tes entirely fro m the normal So uth ern Cali fornia approach to MX co urses. Approximately one-fourth to o ne -fifth o f the co urse will be rou ted over virgin na tural terrain, totally undistrubed p rior to this even I . This section will crest one of the sl eep razorback ridges in full view of the specta to rs on th e cany on 1100r. T here will b e tw o divisions o f each class; classe s ar e I 25cc , 250cc, and Op en . T w o q u alifying rounds will be held for each division. T he final moto will be co n tes te d by the top fifteen riders from each heat. Entry fees for pro racers is twenty dollars. Prize money will be paid to tenth p lace. Gates open to co mp e titors at 7:00 AM and to spec ta to rs at 8 :00 AM. Prac tice begin s betwe en 8 :00 and 8:20; fir st ra ce at 10:00 AM. Entrants w i ll be eventl y divided between divisions A and B for all classes. HRL's "Molly Blue" will be there to present the awards. . Spectator entry fee is set at $ 3.00 per ad u lt, $ 1.5 0 for Jrs. age 12·18 , $.50 fo r Kids age 6 to 12, and under six free; p lus Motorsport's new famil y rate of $7 .50 for an y carload con sistin g of 1 co up le p lus any number of Jrs. or kids.
