lawsu it for the right to co ntinue use of
the hills by " imp lied dedication for
public use" and denies allegat io n of a 2
million co u n ter-su it against them.
Rich mo nd 's daily newspa per, "The
Independent,"stated that the "Basis of
the ju dge's decision was that the
motorcycle
activities
in
the Pt.
Richmo nd area constitute a ' p ub lic
nuisance: due to the excessive noise
invo lved ...:' and also named other
reasons.
The Ramblers say they are not giving
up yet and are seeking funds for fu rt her
legal ac t ion.

Booth is th e most recen t youngs te r to

co mb in ed Junio r-Exp ert Op en class and
again in t he 250 J unior-Expert class. H e
had h is dad's AJ S fo r the Open class and
a CZ in th e 250 class.
After the first moto, Jim Saitone, a
Joh n Way ne of th e sport , said " Randy is
going good, see if we ca n do something
about it in the next race ."
In th e second Open class moto, Jess
Hinrichs led the first lap ....-ith Saitone,
Yarrow and Booth lost in the pack .
Second lap, Hinrichs led with Saitone in
second. Third Lap, Booth was in second
and Saitone, third. From there on the
chase was on with Yarrow trailing as the
three moved by Hinrichs to take the
lead. Yarrow left the race before
midway. By the time the race was half
over, Booth and Saitone were lapping
the field of very fast riders with Booth
getting a slight advantage in the process.
Saitone held the p ace until near the
finish ing laps where h e began gradually
falling ba ck. At th e finish, he was quick
to repeat "Randy's going good".
Ron Murphy won Division II of the
125 Novi ce class on a new Bultaco
Pursang. He lapped th e field in his first
moto and again easily won in his
second. Murphy takes h is racing
seriously ..includes weight train ing for
co nditioning.
