1972.. Yo ung ( 16), Mr. Ken Zah rt has
fo und the air (a nd the money) up at the
top to be very heady stuff, and he does
like it . Last Saturday, Ken picked up all
the marbles for the 125 Experts here;
last night at Lions, he did it to the
beach bunch; today he did it again. And
none of these wins have been "cherry
pickin' wins". He's winning over the
best, Chuck Bower, Bruce McDougal,
Dave Rodgers, Bruce Baron and John
Volkman . Now that's pretty fast
company.

go around to get back in line. But when
the flag fell, Ken wasn't in position, and
as a result, he was dead last as the 15
rider field went up the hill on the first
lap.
Zahrt had only one thing on his
mind, get past everybody who was in
front of him, and that included Bruce
Baron, the leader. He did do it, in grand
style. By the fourth lap of this
six -lapper, Ke n had the lead and was
stretching it as he took the checker to
complete the sweep.
In all fairness to Baron, I have to
report that in that last round. he broke

With the big lead he has as a resu lt of
