Track co nditions we re really neat today with a new section being ad ded including two huge banked turns. The 125 Experts stole the show today as Bruce McDougal (Pen) , Chuck Bower (Pen) and John Volkman (Bul) fought it out in some of the closest racing of the day. McDougal was the overall winner, b ut was pushed all the way with the lead changing several times in each mota . Richard Franklin (CZ) and David Boydstun (AJS) tied for first in the 250cc Senior division, but, it might have '" .. ~ :; ~ w Z W ..J U >- U been a different story if B. Holcomb didn't DN F in the first mota as he won both the second and third races. Bruce McD ougal (Yam) was also in contention until a flat tire in the second mota. 500 Senior Glen Lund (Hus) took first overall but, it was another close one. Lund finished second behind Bob Fisk (CZ) in the first mota but, rallied to win the second two motos with Fisk taking two seconds. The only rider to capture all three mo tos today was 500 Junior Pete Molly. Pete, who just recently purchased a new 400 CZ, ran away from the rest of the entries for an easy win. Jack Habel (Mai) was runner up with two seconds and a fourth.
