Despite a conflicting race at the new
Rio Bravo track in Houston, which drew
most of the H ouston riders, Southwest
Motocross Park hosted rec ord crwods at
its first warm-weather race of the
season. More than 20 00 spectator
passed through th e gate s.
Overnigh t camping is always available
at Lockhart, and many took advantage
of the fac ilities, revelling far into the
n ight on a mixture of barbeque, beer,
movies, and music. Ra ce day came early.
Ch an ge seems ' to be a permanent
facto r in t he Robinson's track fo rm ula,
an d th is Sunday was no exception: T h is
time , ma ximum use was ma de o f th e
d eep gully wh ich cro sses the land, and
th e track di pp ed into it fo ur times.

o f the 125 Expe rt forced his Yamaha
