Creed LOCKHART, TEX.; Feb. 27, 1972 Despite a conflicting race at the new Rio Bravo track in Houston, which drew most of the H ouston riders, Southwest Motocross Park hosted rec ord crwods at its first warm-weather race of the season. More than 20 00 spectator passed through th e gate s. Overnigh t camping is always available at Lockhart, and many took advantage of the fac ilities, revelling far into the n ight on a mixture of barbeque, beer, movies, and music. Ra ce day came early. Steve St ackable rode two classes, but transmi ssio n rebe llion in the th ird h eat o f the 125 Expe rt forced his Yamaha from contention.
