A 250 Novice, Dennis Briggs, easily wo n his class on a sana Kawasa ki established. In the 500 class , Sexton came fro m dead last , after a tangle in the first lap with Redding, to come close enough to Scott to become a very real th reat. Local hotshoe and Open Expert winner Walt Foster also was reported to have won a trip to the Virgin Islands last November o n AB C TV's, "The Dating Game". Walt h as been sh owing the locals the back of hi s helmet regul arl y. lie has just decided to take on the district's riders in h is quest for a professional license. Don Eng land of th e 395 Cycle Park reports t ha t he is d evising a special tro p hy for th e rid er that jump ed 89 fee t (in Don's o wn m easur ements ) and saved it to go o n fo r a win . The Kaw asaki Deal er 's Association is the o the r co-sponso r for Gary. Dennis also cl eaned t he 100 Novices. T he 250 Expert he ats saw Danny Hockie se tti ng lap times th ree seconds faster than Steve Nichols. Danny took the 250 Main wire-to-wire with Steve caught in traffic. Kawasaki-mounted Bob Sanders was ri ght in there with a third pl ace. Sc ott Sm ith sp ent an other day winning the 125 and 500 Expert classes. His dominance o ver the 125 class is well c Open Expe rt Joh n Sprague shows us his version of a feet up power slide in the super fast Adelanto sweepe r. Som e days you just meet nice people .
