S up erb hand ling encourages the ride r to go fas t . - bolt t hat secures th e rear taill igh t to the fen der dro pped out. We can't reall y b lame that o n th e fa ctory, however, beca us e o w n ers' m an u a ls always advise one t o check b o lt s p eri odi cally. We tightened im port ant b ol ts like the engine mo unts and sw inging arm j obbers, bu t no t th ese . Serves us right. Extensive trai ling is sure to lead to the dest ruction of t he rea r turn signals. We knocked off one wi th n o re al effort. 'Nhen we tr ied to re move the other one to preven t an instant rep lay (o ne tends to feel g ilty abou t b rea kin g someone u else's property, ric h fa ctory or n ot ) , we found out that yo u needed a special bolt. The same bo lt that h olds the ind icat o r in p lace h olds th e rear fender to the fra me . - - - T h ese-- ex p eric nces poin t o ut th e necessit y fo r th e buyer t o make sure he is n o t afraid of t urn in g a wrench every now and then an d tha t he b uys from a repu tab le d ealer in th e firs t pl ace.
