OFF-ROAD I 95TH FIM INTERNATIONAL SIX DAYS ENDURO
WORDS AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY MARK KARIYA
I
taly has a long and deep history in enduro and saw that history repeat itself at
the 95th FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE). It took double wins for only
the fifth time ever by topping both the FIM World Trophy (WT) and Junior World
Trophy (JWT) titles, the first time it's accomplished that since 2005 in Slovakia.
That denied the defending champions in both categories, though the U.S. WT
team of Johnny Girroir, Layne Michael, Taylor Robert and Ryan Sipes did earn a
trip to the podium with its third-place finish behind Italy and Spain.
