The moment you realize
you are the new 450MX
Champion—Dylan
Ferrandis won the first
round at Pala and never
looked back, clinching
the title at Pala 2.
when I was young to be a 250cc-
class champion, but I never dreamed
of being a 450cc-class champion.
It's not even a dream come true; it
is something that's the best thing I
could ever do in my life. Wow, it's
unreal."
For his title, Ferrandis was handed
the Edison Dye Cup, which goes to
the 450cc-class champion. He is the
first Frenchman to win in this division
since Jean-Michel Bayle in 1991.
This championship also marked
the first for Monster Energy Star
Racing Yamaha owner Bobby
Regan's new 450cc class effort.
Regan's 250cc riders have been
dominant over the past half-dozen
years, including winning both 250
Supercross East and West Region
titles earlier this season. Ferrandis'
title is also the first AMA 450cc Pro
Motocross title for Yamaha since
Grant Langston won in 2007.
