ROUND 9 / AUGUST 21, 2021 BUDDS CREEK MX PARK / MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND P68 MOTOCROSS I LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP MYOWNRACE 3 ELI TOMAC 3RD (4-3) 450MX "I had a li le bit of everything today," said Eli Tomac. "I had a couple of good starts. Moto one was disappoin ng because I was there on the start and ended up get- ng passed and then got a li le ght and just rode around in fourth; that was disap- poin ng. I knew I'd feel be er for moto two and I did, I rode be er. Dylan and Kenny were in front of me, and we were all pre y close in speed and were bunched up at one point, but nothing really hap- pened from my situa on. S ll looking for that win. I'm scratching my head as to why I haven't go en an overall yet. We're close but s ll ge ng beat." 23 CHASE SEXTON 4TH (3-4) 450MX "I had really good speed today, especially early in the races," said Chase Sexton. "We were all kind of close. It was frustra ng, I didn't feel like I had what it took, espe- cially in the second moto later in the race. I didn't feel like I was confident with my bike, I wasn't comfortable with the speed and the track late in the races. I wasn't gelling with it and obviously I got dropped pre y heavy. To have that good speed and not make anything out of it was not ideal. But I feel like I'm making steps in the right direc on."
