JIGGY DOG RETURNS
JD Beach made a welcome return to
the MotoAmerica paddock in place of
Josh Herrin, who tested positive for
Covid-19 on the Wednesday before
Brainerd. Beach, who has spent the
past two seasons racing for the Este-
nson Racing Yamaha AMA Supertwins
flat track team drove 13 hours through
the night from Kentucky to Minnesota
to be ready for the pre-race test day
on Thursday. He made the most of the
opportunity, getting progressively back
up to speed and taking a pair of sixth-
place finishes in the Superbike class
behind teammate Gagne.
YAKOV IN FOR
BARTCON RACING
American international Kayla Yakov
jetted in from her European base to
take part in the two Junior Cup events
on the Bartcon Racing Kawasaki. The
13-year-old, who normally competes in
the European Yamaha bLU cRU Cup
for the American Racing Team, took
P10 in race one and improved to sev-
enth in race two, knocking 10 seconds
off her time to the winner, Tyler Scott.
WYMAN PULLS OUT
Kyle Wyman was a non-starter on his
Panera Bread Ducati Panigale V4 R.
After completing 40 laps in the pre-
race test on Thursday, saving a near-
highside crash that pulled the scar tis-
sue away from his still-healing broken
left elbow suffered in a race-two crash
at Road America. Overnight pain and
swelling were of major concern to
Wyman, who still completed 15 laps on
Friday, but after posting lap times 3.5-4
seconds off the pace and citing a lack
of strength and endurance, Wyman
decided to call the meeting early and
will come back at Pittsburgh in two
weeks' time.
