n a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest,
Team Honda's Chase Sexton and Monster
Energy/Star Racing Yamaha's Jeremy
Martin emerged victorious in the Motorsport.com
Washougal National. For 450-class winner Sexton
it was his first win in the seven rounds so far in
the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,
while Martin won the 250 overall for the second
week in a row and became the first rider to win
twice in this series.
"I got two pretty good starts today and that was
the difference," said Sexton, who won for the first
time since the last round of 2020 in October. "It
feels so good to win after such a rough start to the
season. I've been grinding at home in Florida, just
trying to get better, and it finally paid off."
