After Ken Roczen went down hard off the start of the first 450 moto and was carted off by the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit for further evaluation, it was uncertain whether he would try to race the second moto or not. Well, we all found out he would indeed race when his wife, Courtney, posted on social me- dia between motos: "He's okay. Someone hit him and then ran over him. Ribs are sore but he's okay. Getting ready for moto 2." SPRING CREEK NOTES Three riders—Justin Barcia, Christian Craig and Aaron Plessinger—were each docked one point for jumping a tabletop while the wheels-on-the-ground flag was out in the first 450 moto for a downed rider… Alex Martin made his return to action after recovering quickly from the broken arm he suffered at Thun- der Valley in early June but only scored a single point for 20th in the second 250 moto… FXR/ Chaparral Honda's Coty Shock had the same misfortune—bro- ken chain—in both 450 motos… Red Bull KTM's Kailub Rus- sell's struggles continued as he finished 28th the first moto and then did not start the second after aggravating a previous knee injury... Jalek Swoll said after going 12-10, "Today was not so good compared to how the rest of the season was going. I'm bat- tling some old injuries right now." Briefly...
