Roczen got the worst of it, as he appeared to get run over by the closely trailing Sexton. The Alpinestars Mobile Medics assisted Roczen and gave him a ride back to the paddock. "That was definitely a hard one," said Roczen. "I got banged up pretty good and had to make sure my ribs were not broken." Up front Barcia was feeling pressure from Cianciarulo until AC washed his front end. Cianciarulo went down hard enough to call it a day with a sore hand. With Barcia leading, both Ferran- dis and Tomac picked up the chase. Together they caught Barcia, and an exciting three-way dog fight for the win ensued. With two laps to go all three riders were in the air at the same time over the track's infamous Chadapault. Barcia was riding a wide bike, protecting inside lines, as was Ferrandis ahead of Tomac. Barcia's quickest lap time came just at the right time, on the 16th and final lap. He barely held on to take the win over Ferrandis, and Tomac. "That was a crazy race! I could never let up," said Barcia from the podium. "I was going wide open the whole time. I had a few close calls, but yeah, it was a great race. I just know I was trying my hardest out there." "It was crazy out there," con- curred Ferrandis who overalled four of the previous five rounds. "Honestly, I don't feel that great, but my start was really good, but then I almost crashed with Adam [Cianciarulo]. I rode bad for the first part of the moto, but then I got the flow of the track and came back on BamBam and tried to find lines to pass him. He was riding really aggressive but that was okay. I just (Left) Honda's Chase Sexton carded fourth overall with a 7-3 on the day. (Right) Michael Mosiman finished an impressive second overall in the 250MX class, giving GasGas two podiums on the day.
