30 Years Ago JULY 31, 1991 A photo of Jeff Stanton leading teammate Jean-Michel Bayle at the Lake Sugar Tree National Motocross was featured on the cover 30 years ago. Stanton won the 250cc class and Mike Kiedrowski the 125cc class... We had coverage of the 23rd running of the 24-Hours of Nelson Ledges. The lack of third gear did not prevent the DAK Racing Suzuki GSXR1100 from winning... Nicky Hayden was the big winner at the Dirt Track Amateur Nationals. Tommy and Jenny Hayden also came away with class wins. VOLUME 58 ISSUE 29 JULY 20, 2021 P115 Ricky Carmichael and Grant Langston shared the cover of Cycle News 20 years ago for winning the 250 and 125cc classes, respectively, at the Unadilla National Motocross... We featured a ride review of the Suzuki-powered Cagiva Xtraraptor... In France, Sherco- mounted Graham Jarvis won his first-ever World Trials competition... James Stewart and Bobby Kiniry were the big winners at the Youth World National MX at Glen Helen. Austin Politelli, Sean Collier and Mike Alessi were some of the other class winners.
