ing BMW) took two wins for a
perfect 50-point haul. Danilo

with Geoff May (Honda) third at

The Californian would, however,
make the best of a bad situation,
charging back through the field
to finish fifth and grab 11 champi-
onship points.

behind Gagne and Scholtz on
lap 10 of 19, had a shift linkage
come loose, resulting in a trip
to the pits for repairs. He would
finish a despondent 20th, taking
no points from his MotoAmerica
