Webb has worked with mentor
and "motocross professor" Gary
Bailey since the age of eight, and
Bailey was on hand to help Webb
analyze his Hangtown experience, which would ultimately pay
off in a first-moto podium at the
next round in Colorado.
"The pros is a whole new learning experience," says Webb.
"There were some good riders
in the amateurs, but in the pros
everyone is good. I would say
the biggest difference is just the
depth of talent. It's pretty crazy
how fast everyone is.
"Gary works with me a lot. He
works with me on my riding and
he's a huge help. In the gym I
work with Darren Stockton and
I think I have a pretty good program and to have guys like that is
pretty awesome."

the next race at Thunder Valley,
where he claimed his first podi-
Webb is currently seventh in
the 250 MX Championship and
probably would be higher if not for a
couple of minor "rookie" mistakes,
like this one when he stalled the
engine late in the second moto,
costing him numerous positions.
um finish with a third in the opening moto, passing KTM's Marvin
Musquin, another former World
Champion, to do so.
"That was an awesome moto
for me," said Webb. "I came from
behind and was able to get third.
