ed Bull KTM's Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings captured the overall wins at the Grand Prix
of France at the Ernee Circuit, on June 9. For Cairoli, it was his 59th career GP win.
Cairoli was leading the first moto when he bobbled, giving way to home favorite Gautier Paulin on
the Monster Energy Kawasaki. Despite heavy challenges by Cairoli, Paulin held on for the openingmoto win, but round two would be all Cairoli's.
Cairoli got off to a fast start and led from start to
finish, while Paulin got hung up in a first-corner pileup that put him back in sixth place. Paulin would finish out the moto in fourth, giving him second overall
behind Cairoli's 2-1.
Rockstar Energy Suzuki's Clement Desalle, who
spent the last couple of weeks competing in the
U.S. Nationals, rounded out the top three overall
with a 3-2 tally.
CLS Kawasaki Monster Energy Pro Circuit's
Tommy Searle finished fourth overall for his best
finish ever in the MX1 class.

Bobbitt said he had just started out on the bike
and might not have let it warm up enough when
the motor stumbled, causing him to go over
the handlebars. The bike landed on top of him,
breaking several ribs and puncturing his lung.

out the Loose Moose National Enduro in Michigan (June 9) and will most likely miss the next
round in Pennsylvania on June 23.

In France, Herlings did, however, have to ride
through pain after injuring his foot the day before,
but he was still unbeatable on Sunday.

Prix. Third overall went to another French rider,
Monster Energy Yamaha's Christophe Charlier.
