We featured Colin Edwards and Ben Bostrom on the cover of Cycle
News 20 years ago after the two Yanks won the two legs at the South
African World Superbike Championship round... Ricky Carmichael won
again. The Kawasaki rider captured his ninth victory of the season at the
St. Louis Supercross at the Trans World Dome; Travis Pastrana won the
125cc East main event... We tested Cannondale's fuel-injected XC400
off-roader which included an interview with Cannondale President Joe
Montgomery. We said we were impressed with Cannondale's progress.
