Our feature story 30 years ago was the Arizona Supercross in Tempe,
where Jean-Michel Bayle came away with the win... The FIM announced
its decision to do away with the 500cc class in Grand Prix Motocross,
replacing it in 1992 with the Open class for any displacement motorcycle
up to 500cc. The premier class would then be the 250cc class... Scott
Summers won the StateLine GNCC
in Shelby, North Carolina... Dennis
Hawthorne and 15-year-old Damon
Huffman were the stars at the GNC
International MX at Lake Whitney.
