P26 IN THE WIND zuki team. Yamaha racing chief Lin Jarvis remained tight-lipped. Jarvis admitted that Yamaha has been in talks with Espargaro, as well as in discussion with Crutchlow and Tech 3, but said: "This is just round five of 18 races. It is too early to talk about riders for next year, and too early for people to be making judgments." Crutchlow, meanwhile, maintained his habit of a crash on Saturday, followed by a storming performance. This time it was in qualifying, and he joked afterwards: "I can't let the fans down. Got to keep entertaining." The crash had been "absolutely stupid," caused when he touched the inside curb after being blinded by his own tears. "I've had a problem with hay fever all weekend, and at the end of the main straight my eyes are full of water. I actually touched the curb a couple of corners earlier because I still couldn't see. It made me open the gas, and I just fell off the side of the bike. Completely stupid crash. "But I can take some positives from it. I jumped on the other bike and it was better. I had no front feeling with the bike I crashed. When I came in I told the team and they said that the tire was 22 laps old. So after 22 laps tomorrow, I'll be happy." Crutchlow finished third in Sunday's Grand Prix. Michael Scott WILSON SIDELINED AGAIN Dean Wilson will sit out the rest of the outdoor National MX series with a shoulder injury. Wilson, who was making his debut in the 450 class in this year's Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, fell midweek while practicing for the Muddy Creek National. An MRI revealed a torn labrum in his right shoulder, which is the same injury to the same shoulder that caused him to miss the entire outdoor Nationals last year. "This is such a bummer," Wilson said. "It's the same shoulder I had problems with last summer, but as tough as this news is, it only adds to my determination to come back stronger." SOUTHWICK TO HOST ITS FINAL NATIONAL T he long-running and legendary Moto-X 338 track in Southwick, Massachusetts, will host its final AMA National MX round later this month on June 29. Moto-X 338 president Diane Peebles-Pittello, said, "Unfortunately, we were unable to reach terms with the landowner to maintain the event at the facility," said Peebles-Pittello. "The support we've received from MX Sports Pro Racing has allowed us to bring the New England area the best-of-the-best to the 'Sandbox,' with the finest motocross athletes on the planet considering this a destination event for many years." Peeples-Pitteloo will step
