30 Years Ago FEBRUARY 27, 1991 Ted Hunnicutt made the cover of Cycle News for winning what was, at the time, one of the longest running races in the desert, the Moose Run, which was a round of the AMA National Championship season... The CMC Golden State National Motocross Championship wrapped up at Glen Helen with Rodney Smith, Willy Surratt and Mike Healey all coming away with number-one plates... Amateur supercross racers got the chance to compete on the same track as the pros the night before at San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium. The top rider was Donald Upton...
