WHERE'S MOSIMAN?
Michael Mosiman led the first seven
laps of the 250SX East main event at
Indy 2 when a lapper crashed in front
of him, collecting the GasGas rider.
Mosiman nearly went down but lost
the lead to Colt Nichols. He would
go on to finish third. Mosiman quali-
fied third a few days later at Indy 3
but never showed up for the evening
program! Mosiman, as it turned out,
crashed late in the final qualifying
session and broke his hand. "I made
a stupid move at the end of the last
practice and I seem to have broken
my hand in three places," he said
Saturday. "I qualified third, was rid-
ing great, looking to get my first win
here tonight but looks like it's going
to need surgery. I'm super bummed
and disappointed."

complete motorcycle had been re-
placed, which is against AMA rules.

mistake and let Oldenburg line up
for the main event, but behind the
22-rider gate, since there were no
spots available for him. However,
when Jett Lawrence made the
last-second decision not to race
because of his injured shoulder,
Oldenburg was allowed to take his
spot on the starting grid. The AMA
