"I got stuck behind a group of riders
on the opening laps and knew I had to
quickly cut my way through the field
because I could see Ken was pulling
away," Eli Tomac said a er ge ng third
Tuesday night. "I put my head down
and started charging and made it up to
fourth behind Adam before the half-
way mark. A er ge ng past Adam, I
could see second place and I eventually
ran out of me before I could make a
pass s ck. I feel like I rode well tonight
and, with a be er start, could have
challenged for the win."

For the second me this season,
rookie Jo Shimoda (Monster Energy/
Pro Circuit Kawasaki) finished out the
night on the 250SX East podium at Indy
3. This me, however, he was more
sa sfied, saying he lucked into his first
podium last me. This me, he says
he earned it. "This podium feels really
good," he said. "[I] moved into second
place a er a couple laps. Once I was
there, the only thing on my mind was
not le ng anyone get past. The track
was rough tonight and a lot of riders
made mistakes, but I controlled what I
could and earned this one."
