IIIMY OWN RACE:
29 CHRISTIAN CRAIG
5TH 250SX EAST
Chris an Craig tried to focus on the
posi ves a er a disappoin ng result
in the 250SX main. "The day started
off well in Indy and I was feeling good
with the track," he said. "I won my
heat race and went into the main
confident. I started second behind my
teammate and was able to latch onto
him for a bit, but once we got into lap-
pers he got away. I made some crucial
mistakes towards the end of the race
and with two corners le I hooked
bars with another rider and we both
went down. I ended up fi h, unfortu-
nately. I'm looking forward to Indy 2
on Tuesday for some redemp on!"

7 AARON PLESSINGER
9TH 450SX
Aaron Plessinger was one of a few
riders who got hung up in a melee in
the second turn which made him play
catch-up the rest of the race. "In the
main event, I got a good jump and then
got ran into which pulled me back a
li le bit," said Plessinger. "Then Mal-
colm [Stewart] crashed in front of us
and made me and Marvin [Musquin]
go off the track. I ran alongside the hay
bales for a li le bit and then jumped
back on. I came back to ninth, which
is not bad considering the start, but
it's not where I want to be. It doesn't
showcase how good the bike is work-
ing this year and how good I'm feeling
this year."
OSBORNE'S WILD RIDE
While everyone was focused on the
Tomac/Roczen battle up front, one
of the best rides of the evening was
happening well behind the lead duo.
Zach Osborne was dead last going
into the first turn after jumping the
gun and getting caught in the start-
ing gate. He lucked out a bit when a
few riders, including Justin Barcia,
Malcolm Stewart, Aaron Plessinger
and Marvin Musquin all got tangled
up in the second turn, but then he
went about his business of picking off
riders throughout the race. The Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna Team rider
ended up finishing out the night in
fifth. "In the main event, I went a little
too early and hit the gate," he said.
"I pulled it back and set my sights on
getting far as I could, and I was able
to make it all the way up to fifth. It was
a solid night and solid result consider-
ing all of the challenges."
LONG NIGHT FOR
ANDERSON
Jason Anderson had to get into the
main event via the LCQ, which he
won, after crashing in his heat race.
The 2018 Supercross champ was left
with a poor gate pick in the main. He
ended up hooking up with his team-
mate Osborne, as they worked their
way up through the field. Anderson
ended up seventh.
EVEN STEVEN
It only took Michael Mosiman a week
to pay back Jett Lawrence, who took
Mosiman out at Houston 3. Mosiman

Briefly...
Tomac could not capitalize on a rare
holeshot. He had opportunities to get the
win but had to settle for second.
