At Indy 1, Barcia said that he was struggling with his flow on the challenging track and crashes in the main didn't help. He got caught up in a mul -rider tangle in the second turn then crashed again later in the race. "I would say tonight was my most difficult night so far," he said. "My speed was good, and my riding was okay, but it just wasn't what I needed tonight to be up front. I just need to put it all together." 25 MARVIN MUSQUIN 10TH 450SX Marvin Musquin was fast in qualifying and was hoping to make it three wins in a row at Indy, but bad luck seems to follow him this season. "I felt really good with the bike all day and qualifying second was awesome," he said. "I was confident going into the main event and then wai ng for the gate to drop, I think Zach Osborne rounded the first turn in last place after getting stuck in the starting gate. INJURY UPDATE There were a few notable absen- tees at Indy 1. Honda HRC's Chase Sexton is still recovering from his shoulder injury from Houston 2 and hopes to be back for Indy 3 next Saturday. Austin Forkner is out with a broken collarbone suffered last Saturday at Houston 3, and RJ Hampshire is out indefinitely after having surgery on his hand that he injured during free practice at Houston 3. Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Motorsports Suzuki's Max Anstie is still recovering from a back injury, and Dean Wilson sat out Indy 1 after suffering knee and ankle injuries, as well as a broken toe, in a fall during the week leading up to Indy 1. Wilson tried riding in free practice but returned to the pits and called it a day. And young 250SX rookie Max Vohland suffered a dislocated hip during the qualifiers that prevented him from competing in the evening program. According to his Red Bull KTM team, X-rays showed no bone damage and doctors were able to perform a "closed reduction" to put his hip back in place. He was dis- charged from the hospital that night.
